Love is Waiting for Us!
Truly understanding the breadth and depth of God’s love for us is the adhesive that will hold our faith together. If we can only continuously keep our eyes on the cross of Christ, and identify with the love of God that allowed His only begotten Son to die that brutal and ugly death for us; then we will never move out of the place of remembering His love. Once we have embraced the love for ourselves, we will not be able to help ourselves; we will have to tell the world and our children about the love that is waiting for us, beckoning to us and calling us to a better way of living. This is our responsibility, our mandate, and our desire if we have the presence of the Holy Spirit in our lives.
The Word tells us that love covers a multitude of sins. Love prevails throughout scripture and dominates every aspect of the new nature that is being perfected inside us by the work of the Holy Spirit. So where is the grey area in love? Love is supposed to conquer all. Well, the grey area is waiting to confine us and our children as the world distorts love and declares its definition as true. How are you teaching your children love? How are you displaying love to those around you? If you are not operating in the Spirit of Love, then you might be fostering confusion, and God is not the author of confusion (1 Corinth. 14:33). This grey area between the worlds love and God’s love can destroy families, friendships, and lead our children into the arms of death. We must show love in a godly manner consistently and openly. This will combat the false sense of love that the world shows our children in sex and in material things. We must show love in how we speak to each other, embrace one another, respect one another, and forgive one another. Seek the Lord on your walk of love, and God will be faithful to show you His way, and we can snatch back the definition of love from the world.
