Be That Kind of Leader!
This week in 2017 will be noted at least in my mind for some time to come. I have had a time of reflection on the stark contrast in leadership between who Martin Luther King Jr. was as a leader at the beginning of the week and the Inauguration at the end of the week of our 45th President of the Unites States (who is supposed to be a leader of the US). Whatever your opinions, thoughts or feelings are, I hope you have a time of reflection on each one and their individual calls to leadership in two very different times and spaces. This reflection should not condemn, but cause you to look at your life as a leader in whatever space you occupy.
This passage of scripture reminds me of a sentiment that Martin Luther King must have had in his heart when he accepted his purpose to try to bring about this change in America. He went FORWARD irregardless of whether it brought death or change. He must have known that the suffering that he would endure would not compare to the glory that the Lord had for him on the other side.
